Terms of Use

Effective May 10, 2026. By creating an account, joining a frame, or uploading photos, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Who can use the service

You must be at least 13 years old and sign in with a valid Google account. Provide accurate sign-in information and keep your account secure. Don’t share your account, invitation links, or API tokens with anyone you don’t intend to grant access to. If you believe your account has been compromised, sign out of all sessions and contact us.

Acceptable use

Photo Frame is for sharing personal photos with people you’ve invited. You may not upload, share, or use the service to display content that:

  • depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor (CSAM) in any form;
  • is sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise sexualized;
  • depicts graphic violence, gore, or torture;
  • promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders;
  • incites or threatens violence, or targets a person or group with hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content;
  • is illegal under applicable law, or facilitates illegal activity;
  • infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person — including photos of people who haven’t consented to being shared on your frame;
  • contains malware, deceptive code, or attempts to attack, probe, or overload the service or its infrastructure;
  • is spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional material.

Frame owners are responsible for who they invite to a frame and for the content uploaded to frames they own. Each member is responsible for what they upload to any frame they belong to.

Content moderation

Uploaded images are automatically scanned for adult and violent content before they become viewable. Images that exceed the rejection threshold are deleted and never displayed; the original upload is also deleted as part of normal image processing. Automated scanning is not perfect — both false positives and false negatives happen — and we may add or change scanning systems at any time without notice.

We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, restrict access to frames, and revoke share links or API tokens at our discretion when we believe these terms have been violated, when required by law, or to protect users or the service. We may preserve and disclose content and account information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, enforce these terms, or respond to a safety or security issue.

Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and may also be reported to law enforcement.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. You grant Photo Frame the limited rights necessary to store, resize, transmit, and display your photos to the members of the frames where you’ve placed them, and to operate, secure, and back up the service.

You are responsible for having the right to upload and share each photo. Don’t upload photos of people who haven’t consented to being shared on the frame in question.

To preserve user bandwidth, uploaded photos are resized to each frame’s configured dimensions and the originals are permanently deleted. The resized image is the only retained copy — keep your own copies of any photos you want at full resolution.

Frame membership and sharing

Frame owners may invite people by email or by share link (QR code). Share links are bearer tokens — anyone with the link can join the frame until the owner revokes it. Treat share links like passwords and only send them to people you intend to grant access.

Frame owners may remove members at any time, and members may leave a frame at any time. Removal or departure revokes access to that frame’s photos immediately.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, in whole or in part, if we believe you have violated these terms, or if continued access would create a legal, security, or safety risk to the service or its users. You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time.

Reporting abuse

If you see content on the service that violates these terms, or you believe someone has uploaded a photo of you without your consent, email support@photoframe.newstrom.life with a description of the issue and, if possible, the URL of the frame or photo. We respond to reports promptly.

To report suspected child sexual exploitation directly to NCMEC, use the CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.

Service availability and disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved indefinitely. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid to use it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date at the top of this page, and, when feasible, communicated through the service. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
